This reminds me of how in the book Wringer, Palmer feels guilty about a mistake he made. When he is hiding his pet pigeon, Nipper, from the world who wants to kill him, he accidentally left one of Nipper’s toys in his room for the critics to see. When the town finds out about Nipper, Palmer is forced to give him away, which makes him unhappy and remorseful. This is like how Stanley made one mistake and ended up regretting it, as well as paying for that mistake. Holes Character Analysis Why do you think Stanley changed throughout the book? Stanley is one of those people who are always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Stanley changes throughout the book, because of his friendship with Zero. Before his time at Camp Green Lake at the beginning Stanley was looked down upon others.
She also prefers keeping her past to herself because of all the problems she has had. She prefers for people to not find out what has happened and why she is the way it is. An example is when Blanche panicked because they took off the little paper covering the lamp which made the room dim and got pissed because she did not want to show how she looks. Stanley is shown to be the “manliest man” but he is unstable and irrational when he realizes what he has done when the damage has been done. For example, when Stanley physically abused Stella he realized what he had done when he was brought back to his senses.
It is famous for an extensive network of caves, some of them unexplored and untouched by humans for many years. They were out near one of the caves in the woods, when Jack got an urgent call from his mother telling him that something big was happening, and a warning on the TV was given by the government. She told him to find shelter, that it was not a joke, and that she loved him. That was the last time they ever spoke.
