According, to Merriam Webster dictionary, love has many meaning and significant to each person hence, majority interpreted love as an intense feeling of deep affection. For example babies fill their parents with intense feeling of love as grandchildren are to grandparents. In addition love is unselfish, loyal and benevolent, concern for the good of another: such as (1): the fatherly concern of God for humankind (2): brotherly concern for others: a person 's adoration of God (Merriam Webster).
Human beings tend to assume that the meaning of love is to love one person but from a biblical perspective the Law of Moses says, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But Jesus says, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that …show more content…

Those who say, "I love God," and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
