This essay is based on the book, The Outsiders by S.E Hinton. The main characters are Johnny and Ponyboy. They are outsiders because they are greasers (which are put off to the side) and they are from the East side. Each Outsiders band together, however, they each have a different way of getting around.

The chapters 1-5 of the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, is about two gangs the greasers and the Socs, who are always causing trouble. In the greaser gang, the protagonist, Ponyboy, is always getting good grades and is the smartest in the gang. Dally is one of the members in the gang, Ponyboy 's brother, has been in jail multiple times. Sodapop is also Ponyboy’s brother. He works at a gas station.
What would you do if the one thing, that made a group stay together left? The group would be able to stay together after losing Johnny because, even though they lost a loved one,they would still do anything for one another like backing each other up without a second thought. While reading The Outsiders by S.E Hinton, the death of Johnny formed a question about whether or not the gang would be able to stay together. The death of Johnny made me believe that the bond of the gang was stronger then before,with them even choosing to back up each other, even if it means danger to themselves or helping one another when in need of some assistance,and finally realizing that they were all they had left for family and friends. The gang had been stronger together
Teenagers need to have love and support. Teens need something solid to stand on. Love and support are necessary because teens need someone by their side to give them those little boosts that help them through their early lives. Teens need to be supported and loved so they grow up being a nice and friendly person. Ponyboy is the protagonist of The Outsiders, a book by S.E. Hinton. Ponyboy is considered as a normal boy in his neighborhood, he is part of a gang and lives with his two older brothers. Ponyboy and his gang stick together through everything, allowing them to survive their rough lives. The bond of loyalty between Ponyboy and his gang is vital for survival, shown by the way that the gang responds to the violence between the classes, what Ponyboy and his gang do to survive, and how they help each other survive their social class rivalries.
Persuasive Essay In the novel The Outsiders by S.E Hinton, a situation occurs and a decision has to be made that can change Ponyboy’s life forever. Some would argue that he should stay with his loving brothers, others would argue that he should be sent into the system. Sending Ponyboy into the system may be a good idea in some ways, but he should ultimately stay with his brothers. If he stayed with his brothers, he would be under the care of his oldest brother Darry.
The gang is worried for both Johnny and Pony and stays loyal to both of them throughout the whole situation like family. Ponyboy lived with his two brothers Darry and Sodapop after his parents were killed in a car accident. Ponyboy had some friends in the gang: Steve, Two-Bit, Dally but his best friend was a boy named Johnny who was considered the gang`s mascot. Ponyboy was a boy who always wanted to be tough but an accident that happened in the story might make him change of mind on what he wanted to be. He also finds a way of how to finish the gang that was taking place from many tima.
Darry then decided to step up and “come of age” to try to be a father like figure for Ponyboy. Ponyboy doesn’t seem to think that Darry cares for him because of the way Darry treats Ponyboy so Ponyboy turns to Sodapop more, “Sodapop is different from anybody; he understands everything...almost. Like he 's never hollering at me all the time the way Darry is, treating me like I’m six instead of fourteen,” (#2). This shows that Ponyboy is annoyed of Darry 's strict father-like figure because Darry is always telling Ponyboy what to do instead of being their for him. But Darry’s strict Father-like figure isn 't so bad, it did do some good…..
