If you see a pretty girl in a bar, say something.” In Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet , In the city of Verona there is a big family feud between Capulets and Montagues. Romeo, a Montague, is a lover but doesn’t know his love is from the opposing family. Juliet, a Capulet, is Romeo’s love. Their love gets them into some bad situations. In Romeo & Juliet , everything happens in a series of bad luck. Every step in the story lets you know something is going to go wrong. In this scene a Capulet servant invites Romeo to a Capulet party, Romeo says, “wither or supper?”Servant response with,“to our house”( Shakespeare 1.2.77- 78). When Romeo kills himself with poison, Juliet wakes and tries to get leftover poison, Juliet expresses, “Happly some poison yeth doth hang on them to make me die with a restorative”Kisses him( Shakespeare 5. 3. 170- 171). Juliet wants to die now along with Romeo so she kisses him to get poison but she does not get any poison from Romeo's lips. This scene has no luck because if she is lucky there would have been poison and would have die a quieter death. After Romeo slays Tybalt he is exiled by the prince, Prince announces, “And for that offense immediately we do exile him hence.”(Shakespeare 3. 1. 192- 193). If Romeo doesn't kill Tybalt or he's punishment isn't exiled from Verona, Romeo and Juliet’s relationship is the way things were right before Tybalt is slain. To Romeo and Juliet expense, Romeo is band following this train of bad luck through their relationship. At this point friar John is sent to deliver a message, John explains, “I could not send it - here it is again nor get a messenger to bring it, thee so fearful were they of infection.’’( Shakespeare 5. 2.14-16). If this message gets to Romeo he doesn't go to the Apothecary for poison. The town being afraid of infection is an unlucky bump in the master plan that eventually causes Romeo to commit.
