William Shakespeare is an amazing play writer, poet, and much more. Many of the plays and poems of Shakespeare are still widely appreciated in times today. “Considered by critics, scholars, and the theater-going public the most important dramatist in the history of English literature, William Shakespeare occupies a unique position in the pantheon of great world authors”(Harrison). Shakespeare 's work is considered some of the most important literary works of all time, and is taught and learned all over the world. Shakespeare’s play Macbeth is a play about much death, and the idea of loyalty to one 's country and their king. In Act four Scene two of the play Macbeth, there are several themes throughout the whole play that are tied together all into one in this scene.

In Macbeth act one scene two, the idea of a flight theme is represent throughout the whole scene. In the beginning of the act Lady Macduff enters the stage, and questions why her husband has up and left her, and her son. She questions his loyalty to his country, and questions the reason as to what could be more important then sticking by his family 's side, and protecting them at all costs. “What had he done, to make him fly the land?”(4.2.1) Lady Macbeth asks this question to the messenger Ross. Ross replies with idea that she must be patient, and that not everything is as they seem, and their might simply be an explanation for
