“Tongue nor heart cannot conceive, nor name thee.” The pain of seeing an individual’s king dead displays the emotion packed Macbeth directed by Rupert Goold as being tasteful and creative due to the fact that it is based during WW2.
This reenactment of the play Macbeth was transferred to a later period of time being WW2, however, it was produced in 2010 by Rupert Goold and Macbeth was played by Patrick Stewart. Lady Macbeth was played by Kate Fleetwood and this particular scene took place inside to what seems to be an underground bunker. Macbeth is an individual who discovered a prophecy for him to become king and was willing to anything in this life to gain this form of power. Due to the fact that Lennox is a large part of this scene, separating his lines allows for a new character and their unique personal thoughts and feelings, therefore, making it more interesting for viewers to tolerate.
