The Tragedy of Macbeth is a well known story that revolves around the word “ambition” but this ambition isn’t always self driven by someone, but rather through the influence of someone else who maintains control of the situation. The story is about a man whose desire to be the king and have power leads to the murders of those who might stand in his way. Throughout the story we see many characters who play major parts in how one event follows another, and how some characters seem to completely have control of the events in the story. Although in Macbeth the Three Sisters and Macbeth exhibit some control over the events, Lady Macbeth has the most responsibility.
How would you feel or react to a society where you really had to fight or be killed to be king or queen? The book Macbeth by Shakespeare contains a plot that is very similar to the question I just asked you. Macbeth was a general at the time when three witches, the weird sisters reveal a prophecy to him. The witches reveal that he would become King of Scotland one day. The prophecy messes with Macbeth wife’s head so much that she gives the idea to Macbeth of killing the former king, King Duncan.

Macbeth, one of William Shakespeare’s most famous plays, is a tragedy about one man rising to the top to subsequently fall. The Lion King is an animated Disney movie about a lion cub learning about life while on the run following his father’s death. The Lion King and Macbeth compare to certain multitudes, as well as contrast to a certain degree. Similarities and differences between the movie and play are shown between Duncan and Mufasa, Malcolm and Simba, Macbeth and Scar, the three witches and Rafiki, and the theme of appearance versus reality. Similar to King Duncan, Mufasa was a fantastic king.

Some directors like to make some drastic or minor changes based on their own interpretation of the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. While watching both Goold (2010) and Polanski (1971), I have noticed a lot of major differences between the two movies and the original play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare. Some of the differences I have noticed is that is in Goold (2010), Macbeth actually comes to kill Lady Macduff and her children. Another difference in Goold (2010) is that the witches are shown throughout the film.
In Macbeth, Shakespeare writes about a man named Macbeth, who has a very strong ambition to be the the king of Scotland. His credulousness led him into believing the prophecy from the three witches without thinking rigorously. Because of this prophecy, Macbeth is willing to do everything he can to gain the throne, even to the extreme of murdering someone. Shakespeare uses syntax, similes, and personification to convey the evolution of Macbeth’s insanity.
In the play The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Macduff proves to be the true hero. Macduff proves to be the true hero of the play for being loyal to his country and killing Macbeth. Macbeth and Macduff differ because Macbeth is conceded and a killer, while Macduff is not. Macduff, the Thane of Fife, proves to be a loyal man when it comes to his country and his people. For example, Macduff deserts his family in order to go to England to meet with Malcolm and the king of England, so all three of them can go back to Scotland to defeat Macbeth for once and all.
In William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Macbeth, characters are designed to compliment one another; whether it be to show a character’s weaknesses or strengths more efficiently. Referred to as a character foil, multiple characters throughout this tragedy contrast from Macbeth, and it is through their actions, that one is further able to analyze Macbeth’s traits and characteristics. Macbeth’s ambition is one of the most prominent things that drive Macbeth in the play and truly becomes evident when he hears of the Witches prophecies. When the witches stop talking, he demands to know more. “Stay you imperfect speakers, tell me more” (I, III, 73-74). This portrays his excessive curiosity on the subject as well as his craving for more desirable prophecies. This ambitious nature and craving for power is also demonstrated only moments after hearing the witches, when he starts formulating a plan to kill Duncan in order to make the third prophecy come true.
it was the five-year anniversary of macbeth’s defeat. macbeth, a town-proclaimed tyrant, had died in a sword fight with macduff, whose family had been killed prior to the attack on scotland. malcolm was king now, and he was so much better than macbeth. he had restored order and compensated for anyone majorly affected in the attacks him and macduff had planned. he had sent a search party out for donalbain, and they had spent 3 years looking for him until they discovered, thanks to witness stories they had found, he had been drowned in the oceans surrounding ireland.
As tragic as Macbeth becomes through the play, his paranoia is also a factor that leads to his ultimate downfall, morally and physically. Macbeth, now a traitor after the assassination of the king, is paranoid of anybody who may threaten his position or how he attained it. After killing the king, Macbeth’s conscience is guilt-ridden and he is no longer able to sleep peacefully. His only worry is that someone may be plotting his murder, just as he strategized the death of the former King. If there was nothing stopping Macbeth from killing Duncan and committing treason, who is to say that no one else will make the same decision, killing Macbeth? Throughout the tragedy, Macbeth 's character takes a big, yet gradual change for the worst as ambition starts to completely take over him. Once the three witches give Macbeth his prophecies he transitions from a brave, loyal man to a cold blooded murderer. His power hungry personality leads to a character change from who he was before he knew about the witches prophecies, after he learned of them, and right before he was murdered. In Macbeth, Shakespeare dramatises the damaging physical and mental effects of ambition on those who seek power for their own sake.

There are many noticeable differences in the play and movie which make the plot different from one another. Macbeth and Throne of Blood are the same story, but different setting.
In most cultures, education is highly valued as one of the ways to enhance one’s socioeconomic status within the society. “Higher education one receives, higher socioeconomic status one will get” is the common stereotype of the education. Yet, it is no longer true; gradual increase in education fees enlarge the gap between rich and poor while higher education is no longer guaranteeing the access to enhanced job opportunities. Higher education, although it remains as the crucial element for one’s job opportunity, is financially pressuring the students and promotes social inequality. Achieving higher education such as getting a degree in the college is considered in most countries as the step one must take after graduating from the high school.
They told Macbeth that he was going to be king, and told Banquo that his children were going to be king. With the knowledge that there is a possibility to become king, along with the selfish human nature, noble Macbeth was easily swayed by this prophecy. At first, Macbeth’s conscience took care of his ambitions, he was afraid he would betray the king, because he knew that he was “his kinsman and his subject” (1.7.13). However as the three witches continue to encourage Macbeth with carefully chosen words, he eventually pushes his conscience away and committed crimes that were dishonourable. Macbeth, easily controlled by his ambitions, loses his noble and heroic title in fear of losing his power.
