Some of them did not make it at first, or they had a long journey to get to where they are today, or they just couldn't get a hit. Madonna became a singer because of her mother's passing. Lady gaga got a deal, but was then dropped. Shakira just couldn't get on the top charts in America. Many would think they would be able to ge a carrier in a snap, but are shocked when told they didn’t. How’d they get to where they are today? How’d they get on the road of being famous? Madonna, Lady gaga, and Shakira all have these questions in their career. Madonna had a long journey to get to where she is today. She moved to New York to become a dancer because of the scholarship she had gotten there. Then realized that her dancer career was not getting her anywhere. That her voice is what turned heads. She soon remembered of how she told herself after her mom died of breast cancer, that she would make her voice heard. She got an early scholarship at “NY university school of arts”. Then in 2005, she was signed by “Def Jam Records”, but then dropped just a few months later. Then she had no one to set up her performances, so she sat up her own. She performed all the time in NY, at small places. Sometimes with another band, and sometimes on her own. And later became a songwriter for singers, such as britney spears. Then one night when she was performing at her show called “Lady gaga & the Scarlet Revenue”, R&B star “Akon” discovered her. He thought she had an amazing voice,and since of style and then signed her. Soon after in 2008 she came out with the song called “The Fame”.
