Adele, born on May 5th, 1988 in Tottenham, London, England, is a singer and songwriter. She became a mainstream success at age 19. Although she went through some very dark times in her life, such as her disastrous relationships, with both her boyfriends and father, and alcohol abuse. Overall, she was able to recover from her bad habits and become the iconic singer that we all dearly admire. Adele's passion with singing began when she was just four years of age as well as her "father, Mark Evans, left Adele's mother, Penny Adkins, to raise her on her own in a numerous amount of working class neighborhoods."
