In basketball Magic Johnson is underrated yet he’s one of the most payed players in the 20th century. Just like Michael Jackson and The Beatles, Magic Johnson has accomplished a lot from being poor to making it in the big league. Magic Johnson took the L.A Lakers to the NBA finals about 9 times and is still more underrated than Michael Jordan.
Both of Magic Johnsons parents worked his dad working for General Motors plant in Michigan and his mom working as a school janitor. Magic Johnson had 9 siblings 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He went to Everett High School, where Earvin Johnson Jr. earned his nickname “Magic.” He then went to Michigan State and won the Big 10 conference title.
While Magic was growing up his parents were very poor working everyday, while he was at the gym working and getting better everyday! Magic was a gym rat ( person who is always in the gym shooting, dribbling, and getting better) while his parents are always working to put food on the table.
During college he attended Michigan State he won the Big 10 conference title in 1978-1979. During 1979 to 1980 Magic Johnson won the next year he took Michigan State to the NCAA finals, he only played 2 years in college.

His first season in the NBA he won MVP which was the year of 1980-1981. That year he beat the 76ers in the finals 4-6 games. His third season they beat the 76ers for the second time in his career. His fourth season they made it to the finals for the third time in Magic's career but got beat badly, they won 0 games this series. Then in 1983-1984 played against Larry Bird and the Celtics, but got beat 4-3 games in the series. Magic and the Lakers beat the Celtics in 1984-1985, for their revenge ( as you could say).
