African Queen Makeda is an interesting topic. Makeda was the queen of Axum and Jerusalem. Makada had some of toughest things to deal with happen to her. Makeda was The best queen of Africa.
Makeda had several legends written about her; some in the bible. This is what historians believe are facts. The African Queen Makeda traveled to Solomon, King of Jerusalem, as either as a queen or became an queen when Solomon impregnated her against her will. This made her marry Solomon and made her queen. Below is one of the most famous legends. She lived in a the ethiopian town Axum there is an evil serpent monster king named Awre. Awre ate livestock every day and once a year demands a young maiden. One year the maiden on the plater is are beloved Makeda. She rebels against the serpent and kills it possibly. Some versions state that Makeda’s dad kills the serpent buts is bitten in battle and dies of poison. Makeda gets crowned queen of Axum. She becomes very religious. The name Makeda means “not fus”. She allegedly said “do not fus about other religion follow god. In search of making her kingdom more successful, she seeks out the Goliath killer David’s son, Solomon. Solomon taught her how to be a religious ruler. Solomon claimed her in marriage. Solomon wanted to impregnate her, but one of his advisers gossiped that Makeda had hairy legs. Solomon wanted to know the truth so he built a kingdom of glass. When Solomon presented it to Makeda, she was told it was water. She then lifted her skirt and stepped in showing her legs and feet. She relieved that she didn’t have hairy legs. The adviser had lied and put him to death. Solomon impregnated Makeda then she had a son.
