219 Words1 Pages
Malala beginnings off her autobiography explaining when she was born everyone felt bad for her family as she was born a girl. Women are seen as second-class citizens and their only role in life is to prepare food and give birth to children. I feel bad for the women living in Pakistan as there is so much sexism and inequality in the society. From birth, Malala has always had a sense of freedom which is strongly influenced by her father. Her father told her she would always be as free as a bird. Malala knew at a young age she wouldn’t let sexism in her society run her life so since birth she has been a strong woman. In chapter one, we learn Malala has a very supportive and encouraging father and it is clear she already has a sense of freedom.
