By making marks on the world, according to (Newsmakers,1) “Pakistan teenagaer Malala Yousafzai became an internationally known symbol of the struggle for womens and childrens rights.” This statement made in the article has correlation to the main objective in this paragraph because it shows that Malala was strong and didn't let the hate of others get in the way of her trying to help others and achieve her goal. Malala's perseverance gave her the opportunity to become internationally known as a symbol of strength. Newsmakers writes that Yousafzai had lots of hate driven towards her by the Taliban due to the fact that she was a voice for her right to her education and the education of other women (1). This shows that Malala was strong and didnt care what others thought. She was striving towards her goal. In an article (Gale,1) it is said “Yousafzai, whose name means “grief stricken” wanted to be a doctor.” Thus was Malalas initial goal growing up. In the same article it talked about how hard Malala worked to achieve her goals. For example in the article (Gale,1) it said that violence was extreme especially to those who stood up for education however Malala and a fellow Hindu man continued to persevere and show their strength towards what they believed was right. This showed Malala was committed to achieving her goal and making a difference despite the violence going on around her and towards her. “Yousafzai was recognized as a voice for children, education, and women's rights,” (Gale,2).
