There many interpretations of where leaders come from: some say leader are born; some say leaders are made. Through experiences, regular people, learn new traits that it takes to become leaders: these are traits that Malcolm X possessed.
Despite his difficulties in life Malcolm X grew up to be the most well known and influential figures of black nationalism: first, he grew up without a father; second, he spent time in prison; and finally, he overcame those difficulties and became a self-educated man who was invited to speak at such prestigious institutions as Oxford and Harvard.
