The March Revolution of 1917 was a revolution with many revolts and riots leading to the actual battle. The rule of Nicholas II, the economic situation in Russia, and World War I, all have made major contributions to the start of the revolution. The direct reason of the revolution was made possible by, the harsh rule of the czar, the results of World War I, and the unsteady and poor economy that was present during this time period.

The results of Word War I were one of the most dreadful catalyst for the Russian Revolution of 1917. The people of Russia were very unhappy with whom their leader was and how he was treating them. “They also came to be upset with the economic situation. The Russian economy was never very strong and now its efforts were being used to fight the war. This led to shortages for the civilian population and even more unrest. All of this unhappiness on the part of the Russian people helped to create a situation where the Russian Revolution could take place.” (Google.com) Prior to the Revolution, because of the Czar, Russia had an ego like non other country, an ego that can inflict life threatening situations on their population. Russia was an agrarian country which meant that their food source was from farming. This lead to Russia being one of the best exporter of agricultural goods in the world. Russia was slow to enter the industrial era but after the Revolution, Russia had opened up to new ideas and inventions. The economical factors that contributed to the March Revolution f 1917 were mainly based on the population. Many of the agricultural workers were forced to join the army, this resulted in food shortages which resulted in a revolt against the leadership that demanded them to join the army. The economy, prior to the revolution, had bad working conditions, low wages for the working class, a bad environment, absolute rulers, and mainly a poor and unsafe lifestyle.
