Throughout the movie I thought that the babies who were more universal were Ponijao who lived in Namiba and Bayarjargal who lived in Mongolia. Even though they weren’t old enough to really handle a job with mathematical concepts though education. Ponijao learns things from his older siblings and mother. In the beginning of the movie the baby was grinding something like his older brother, even though this isn’t a mathematical concept he learned a task that would help later in his life. In Mongolia Bayarjargal is raised around livestock, which I think will teach him great lessons and responsibilities in his life that will benefit towards him and his family. I feel as though these two specific babies will achieve mathematical concepts as well as many others as they grow. …show more content…

Hattie and Mari growing up in the city have a disadvantage towards the babies in Mongolia and Namibia is raised with different cultures around livestock and growing their own food. Hattie and Mari live where education and schooling is important so they have the disadvantage of learning through work. Ethnocentrism is in everyone’s culture. No matter what your culture is, it is the way you see your culture and everyone else’s. I think that maybe Hattie and Mari have more of a powerful ethnocentrism in their families’ culture and how they do things. They have more resources and options to be raised and educated, rather than Namibia and Bayarjargal do. Hattie and Mari have many others who may have enriched their ethnocentrism as well. Overall in my opinion I think that every culture has a power of ethnocentrism in their culture because it is their belief of things and how they do
