Maria Full of Grace is based on a film of a young girl who worked as a florist in one of the villages in Colombia. Maria lives with her mother, sister, and nephew, which only mom and her works. Maria and her family lives in a poor area, because they cannot afford to live in a nice house. Maria quit her job because the owner were not treated her nice and she didn’t like to be treated the way, Maria was looking for a new job, in the way to find another job in Bogota she met a friend who introduced her to a new job. The work was based on drugs report of Colombia to the United States, Maria accepted the job. The work process was swallowing drugs in pill form, the maximum that Maria could swallow were 60.

She was trained for a few days how to swallow the drugs. Maria's family didn’t know anything about this new job, she had to lie that she was going to work in another town, her mother disagreed with that idea.
