Scene 1:
(We enter with a mirror shaped box image that is black and has smoke coming out of it. It is the only thing visible on the stage. We are at Mariam’s home.)
Mirror: Ahh. Visitors I see. So glad that you have been able to make it to witness the telling of this story. Why don’t we get started. (Mariam enters) This is the girl by the name of Mariam.
Mariam: Honey, I am home! You will never believe what happened at work today. (saying as putting coat on rack and hanging bag up)
Mirror: Mariam is the working mother of three children that provides for her family as much as she can. Little does she know, the husband that she calls out for is dead along with her three children.

(Walks off)
Mariam: Waiter! (Lights dim. Mariam moves her mouth explaining things to the waiter but no words are coming out and the waiter smiles. It is almost as if someone pushed the mute button.)
Mirror: (Appears in mirror box) What a nice sight. You would think it as something from the past but no. This is most certainly present day. 6 years after the incident at Mariam’s house to be precise. Also, that was the day that she vowed that she would find and kill the murder of her family. And if i recall correctly she vowed that she would never move on. We all can plainly see that she has indeed moved on. The only joy and happiness that she has now is from her boyfriend, Jeremey. And that boyfriend that just left to “pay the bill”, he has something special planned for Mariam, just wait and see.
(lights come back up to full brightness. Jeremey enters carrying the sundae.)
Mariam: Why didn’t the waiter bring the sundae? (she looks at Jeremey as he gets down on one knee and she gasps as she looks at the diamond ring fitted around the cherry on the

(gets up off the ground) I guess all that I did was for nothing! (throws plate onto the table making the sundae spill everywhere.) After all I have done to get you! (some of the workers come out) Your family is dead. Your husband is dead. You can move on with me and we can live together. I had to give up so much to make it to where we could be together! Do you have any idea how hard it was to get that guy to kill your husband! I did it because I wanted to be with you and now you still love him even after he 's gone!!! (Silence is in the room, you could hear a pin drop)
Mariam: You did not… You did not! After all this time it was you! (remembering what she had said the day she found her family dead) I swore that day that I would find the murder. I swore that I would end his life! I had thought that I had moved on beyond finding the murder (beat) and having revenge. I thought that by loving you I would be able to move on beyond the sadness and hatred I felt! And you!!! (picks up knife from purse and points it at him) You were the one all along!
Jeremey: Hold on now. This is not the way to go. Mariam the only reason I did what I did is because I love you. Besides, you know that I did not kill your family, that guy I told you about was the one who killed
