The theme of remaining loyal when things get tough can be seen throughout Romeo and Juliet, through Romeo finds out that Juliet is a Capulet and remaining loyal to her , Juliet remains loyal to Romeo when she found out that he killed her cousin Tybalt, and Mercutio defending Romeo against the insults of Tybalt . Turn back, dull earth, and find thy center out.” (2. 1. 1-2) He left the party knowing Juliet is a Capulet and still decided to turn back and visit her, his heart. Romeo knows Juliet is from the Capulet family, his only “enemy,” and yet he is still devoted to her. Another example of loyalty being portrayed in Romeo and Juliet is when Juliet finds out that her husband, Romeo, has killed her cousin Tybalt. At first she is angry with Romeo but remembers that he is her husband and decides to stay loyal to him even when it seems she shouldn’t.
