She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.

Anne Frank A Light in the Dark Anne Frank once said, “I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.” Many people know that Anne Frank was an extraordinary diarist, truly an optimist, and a spunky, energetic girl, but did they know that she was wise beyond her years? She changed the world by blessing humanity with her extraordinary literature skills and imagination. The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett is about a small family which consists of Anne, Margot, Mr. Frank, and Mrs. Frank who were in a shock of fear, and went into hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness.
Soon, Mary was told she had to be married, and Saint Anne was supportive through the process. Mary ended up marrying Joseph and had baby Jesus. Saint Anne often visited and helped supply the family with what they needed. Unlike most Saints, Saint Anne had no confrontation, trouble, or hardship near the end of her life. She ended up passing away with a natural death in her daughter, Mary’s, arms.
