There are many people in the world who are influential. These people impact the world in a positive way by inspiring people to follow their dreams, stand up for what they believe in, and overcome obstacles in their life. An individual that shows these traits would be Marie Curie, a scientist, that created radium and radioactivity. Marie Curie is influential because of her accomplishments, character, and legacy.

There are several accomplishments that made Marie Curie influential. For example one of her accomplishments is according to departments.kings.edu it said,”the discovery of Radium and other key elements help us out every day, especially when getting an x-ray.” This quote supports that one accomplishment that made Marie Curie influential …show more content…

For example one of Marie Curie´s character traits is smartness . I know this because according to notablebiographies.com it said, ”Marie is a brilliant student, gaining a gold medal upon completing her secondary education in 1883.” This quote shows that one of her character traits that made her influential is her smartness. Another example of one of her character traits is kindness. I know this because according to biography.com it said, ”Over the course of the next four years, Curie helped equip and operate more than twenty ambulances (known as “Little Curies”) and hundreds of field hospitals with primitive x-ray machines so as to assist surgeons with the location and removal of shrapnel and bullets from the bodies of wounded soldiers.” This quote shows that another one of Marie Curie 's character traits that made her influential is her kindness because without her generosity and kindness the surgeons would have never got the bullets out of the soldiers. The last example of one of her character traits is brave. I know this because according to biography.com it said,”Not only did she personally instruct and supervise young women in the operation of the equipment, but she even drove and operated one such ambulance herself, despite the danger of venturing too close to the fighting on the front lines.” This quote supports that another one of Marie Curie 's character traits that made her influential is her braveness
