Even though Marin Sinzer was considered a minor at eight years old when he murdered his neighbor, Tammy Shevin, now he should be charged as an adult. The problem now is if Marin should be charged as a minor or an adult because of the age Marin was when he committed the crime. Marin should be charged as an adult because he is now thirty-eight years old and is not a minor anymore. He knew what he did was wrong and decided to withhold evidence from the police for twenty-five years. Twenty-five years have passed since the murder and Marin is now thirty-eight years old and is an adult and needs to take responsible for his actions when he was a minor. In Missouri, there is no statute of limitations for murder meaning there is no time limit. Event though, minors and adults have different mental understandings and capabilities, he knew that at eight years old sexually assaulting and murdering his toddler neighbor was wrong. Marin did not want to get in trouble from the police or his parents, that is why I believe he kept information about the case from the police.
