Rhetoric is the persuasive speech of writing or speaking. It is an ancient art in which we use strategic speech to make someone construct decisive decisions based on what details we share. Rhetoric is something that we use daily without even being conscious of the conclusion we have made. It’s best known definition comes from Aristotle, who considers it a counterpart of both logic and politics. “Rhetoric may be defined as the faculty of observing in any given case the available means of persuasion. “This is not a function of any other art,” which was claimed by Aristotle. The art of persuasion is built upon three main factors. The facts, reason, and evidence we build against or for the argument is known as logos. Pathos is an argument based on strong emotions. Antony speaks with the plebeians on a parallel level, and he does not speak as if he is exalted about them. Even the way Mark Antony had set up his speech was equitable to the way the people would give a speech. Yet, Brutus spoke in iambic pentameter. Iambic pentameter would be for people more intellectual people, and automatically took the personal aspect from his speech.
