TITLE: The title of this book is significant because in the book Huckleberry Finn narrates his life from when the widow takes him in through when his father kidnaps him. He goes through a series of adventures with his new friend Jim. The theme is portrayed by the title because all huckleberry wants to be free from his father free from the widow. 3. CHARACTERS: There is no known antagonist as the conflict is character vs. Society. Pap Finn is an alcoholic, a wreck and is very disapproving of his son. Pap Finn continues to demand for Hucks fortune and to drop out of school. A judge tries to clean up Pap Finns act he does but then goes back to his nasty ways. The ending of chapter 6 and beginning of chapter 7 Huck is kidnaped by his father and taken to a log cabin in the woods on the Illinois shore. One day Huck is assigned to go fetch fish for supper and he's lucky to find a canoe. A week later he fakes his death and sets off on his know in his canoe with a gun and berries. Pap, Judge, Bessie and the widow are looking for Hucks "corpse'' he spends 3 days alone surviving on berries and Smoak fish until he's sees a man that’s quite familiar to him. His name is Jim a run-away slave for miss Watson Huck meets a woman who brings him to a shack but she doesn’t trust him fully. He's dressed as a woman and introduced himself as Sarah Mary Williams. The woman tells him that his father is wanted and so is Jim for the death of Huckleberry and her husband knows that Jim is on the island. The two men sold the slaves separating families the girls were upset and Huck tried to comfort them saying they will be reunited soon. Huck is very fond of Joanna Wilks and tells her to stay away from the house because the men she thinks are her uncles are imposters she comes back for her family auction but Huck isn't there. The real brother of Mr. Wilk come to claim their inheritance but the frauds won't give up the act. They go in front of a judge to show shows the real Wilk brothers. The culprits are caught because they don’t have the right signature and they asked if there was a tattoo on the deceased back. The dauphin almost choked Huck to death but the Duke stopped him because he concluded that maybe one of us put the gold in the coffin to keep safe with neither of us knowing. They became angry at each other but soon made up and rested concluding the day. They go farther away from where the incident happened the evil duo trying to carry out small schemes on many towns.
