On The Lowest Animal by Mark Twain, he implies numerous times that human beings are the lowest animal, also implying that other animals or species are more comprehensive and cooperative with each other and to other animals unlike human beings. Mark Twain lists an abundance of reasons of why men are the lowest animal. A great amount of narcissistic people believes that human beings are the highest animal there is but in reality human beings are naturally very crucial to all classes of animals and their actions will never be prevented in the future. Men are the lowest animal because human beings are crucial. On The Lowest Animal, Mark Twain stated, “man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it. It is a trait that is not known to the higher animals.” This statement by Mark Twain is referencing at the fact that men enjoy seeing and giving pain to other animals. There are men who makes other animal suffer for their own entertainment. Other animals do not have the mindset to have other animals suffer. The animals can effortlessly and quickly learn each other's discomfortability and adjust each other’s discomforts to where the reach each others comfortability. Human beings have a more difficult time understanding each other and most of the time refuses to understand each other. On the article, Mark Twain also discusses his experiment with human beings and how it was chaotic compared to the experiment with the animals. The experiment shows how human beings are very insensitive and coldhearted. Human beings refuse to not be foolish. It adds to the fact that we will never prevent the chaotic world we live
