In July 2014, New England experienced a strike that blow up. Market Basket is a grocery that you get “More for you dollar”. Many People shopped at Market BAsket until the day Arthur T got fired. Arthur T and his cousin Arthur S were the owners of MArket BAsket, passed down from their fathers. Arthur T was the cousin that greatly appreciated the workers and wanted the best for them. Arthur S was the cousin that was the businessman he got work done, most of the time not helping the workers. Therefore everyone loved Arthur T and all he did. The issue was that the leadership was changing Arthur S was firing Arthur T and the workers were worried that the new leadership would sell the chain to another company, cut wages and other benefits. This issue is important because all of the workers were making good money when Arthur T was there and got benefits. Some of the workers have been working there for a long time and then all a sudden there benefits were taken away. …show more content…

They both had different jobs in this business. Author S the one that fired Arthur T was the bessin man that got stuff down. Author T also got stuff down but in other ways. Arthur T made stuff happen for the works because he understood all of their hard work. The other things Arthur T has done was still had Market Basket have low prices for the shoppers. When Market BAsket first opened it was call Demoulas they give free food to people that needed it. That was Arthur T and Arthur S’s grandfather that did that. The chain was under control of Arthur S because Arthur T’s father passed away and Arthur S’s father took over. When Arthur T got fired Arthur S’s hired two new CEOs in place of him and everyone was heated and wanted him back.
