The new product being created is a closet and storage design company for recreational vehicles. These products will consist of personally designed storage solutions as well as premade shelving. This business and product will address two business markets. The first step in this process is realizing there is a problem and a need for something. Recreational vehicles have very limited storage space in them. Some closets and drawers are often oddly shaped leaving the owners to figure out the best possible use of a misconfigured space. The second step for the consumer is an information search. This could prove to be problematic as the only real option for consumers is the company that initially built the recreational vehicle. This is an important step for this company, which is to create effective marketing strategies to reach all of these possible consumers. To begin, while the consumer base seems large enough the company must be able to effectively build and have the ability to ship or install their product. If their product requires installation then this company needs to have the provisions to have multiple locations across the country. Perhaps most of these locations could be closer to larger cities where tourism is popular. The other expected barrier is marketing and getting advertisements to right consumer base. In order to overcome this barrier it would be effective to create a large social media base as many travelers belong to hundreds of pages and consistently share information with one another.
