Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” God created man and woman to be unified, and so to procreate. In Genesis 1:28 it says, “And God blessed them. And God said to the, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” However, marriage isn’t for everyone. 1 Corinthians says, “I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife. There are several benefits to getting married and starting a family.
