Gay rights has been an on-going movement since the 1970s. Until recently, on June 28, 2015 they have had a huge “victory”. This was when a new law was passed by the Supreme Court. The United States of America now validates and recognizes same-sex marriage. Therefore, giving them civil rights like any other ordinary couple. There a many supporters to this idea. Those who are either agnostic or atheist believe that this law will finally let people be free and happy. As people begin to accept this as a law, they think that being gay is okay. Not between two people of the same sex. Just because my Pastor and the Holy Bible told me it's wrong, isn't the reason why I stand at this position. The reason why is because I have put my whole trust into him. By reading the bible, my heart has been opened to the Lord. Two examples which lie in the Holy Bible are shown by God and Jesus. In Genesis 2:24 God maintains, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Gen. 2:24). In stating this, it shows how a man and a woman are to become one. Even if you do not believe, this demonstrates the tradition of marriage between a man and a woman goes back thousands of years. In addition, Jesus never specifically condemned homosexual behavior, but he did ratify that marriage is between a man and a woman in Matthew 19:4-5: "He said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?'"
