Summary: In the book Abortion to Abolition,written by Martha Payther, she discusses a very important issue that many women, non-binary and transgender people face across the world: the right to have an abortion. They are not able to live their ideal life due to ongoing discrimination and oppression that has become normalized by society. It was good to be able to hear people talking about issues with personal identity because of the treatment of others and family. Stefonknee explained how she was not invited to her father's funeral and then would later on become homeless because her family did not accept her coming out as transgender. I believe this is another topic that should be discussed in the education system because I have personally witnessed how people face struggles with homophobia and transphobia from a young age, and it becomes even more challenging to know that people I know will encounter these difficulties in the future.
