People in life struggle with hardships enormously in life. People can overcome those hardships and become a new person entirely. The man who killed Martin Luther King Junior was named James earl Ray. The reason Ray killed Martin Luther King was because he hated him. Every one of the speeches MLK gave he despised. Ray was going through depression at the time; partly from lack of attention because he was the youngest in a poor family. When Martin Luther King started to stand up for colored people, it only made Ray’s depression worsened.
The book I choose to read over the summer is Memoranda During The War: Civil War Journals, 1863-1865 by Walter “Walt” Whitman. He has done many heroic acts in ways different than most think of during the Civil War. He was not a soldier nor common folk. He is known for his writings, poetry, essays, and being a military hospital volunteer. This whole book contains his journals during the Civil War from mid-war (1863) to post-war (1865) while being a military hospital volunteer.
Many things are different today in 2018, than they were in the year 1968; the price of coke and gas, the rights of women and of course, the act of wrongful dispensation in the Negro community. On February 1st, 1968. Two Memphis garbage collectors Echol Cole and Robert Walker were devastatingly crushed to death by a malfunctioning truck. This situation was the last straw for the black community because of a long pattern of neglect and abuse of the employees of the Memphis Department of Public Works. As a result, 1300 men went on strike to make a difference and stand up for what they believed in.

Leaders should service and develop their employees (Nahavandi, 2015) leaders do not encourage leaders to go over and beyond to meet the need of the individual problems. Servant leadership listens, persuades, and give empathy during times of crisis. Authentic leaders adapt their style to the situation.
Dr.King a Great Leader When you think of a good leader you think of someone who can influence and lead people. Good leaders do the right things for the people their leading and fight for whats right. Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. is a good leader because he fought for equal rights, he was a educated pastor, and he lead a movement that left behind a legacy that will be remembered forever. He played a very big role in ending segregation of African Americans in the U.S.(Biography, 2018).
My hero is Martin Luther King. He was born on January 15,1929 and he was assassinated on April 4, 1968. He dealt with segregation and tried to put it to an end. He made speeches, did marches, and got arrested for civil rights. He did it all peacefully.
