There are many issues or problems exist in America. There are also many people who became the faces of the revolutions. These people became the leader of many movements and their words became the guide of the Americans. Some of these people even sacrificed their lives in order to bring a change in the imperfect system of America. Serving people and acting on behalf of others is something noteworthy, and this is what these people did. It is something that is heroic in nature. They think and speak on behalf of all those affected. One of these people who I idolized and considered an American hero is Martin Luther King Jr. He is one of the few people who have changed the history and lives of African Americans. Through his strategic finesse and knowledge, he was able to impart his messages that exposed the evils of the oppression of the whites. He strengthened this method of revolution by visiting the birthplace of Gandhi in India, to learn more about the nonviolent resistance that would help in his struggle for justice in the United States. Using what he learned in India, King continued to fight for the civil rights of African Americans through thick and thin. He went off script and declared his speech using his words from his heart. He also stated that he had a faith that America would soon be the land of freedom for those who have colored skin. He was my American hero because he fought what he believed is right. He fought what he believed would benefit those people who are affected by the racial inequality. He didn’t let his supporters down and instead encouraged them to fight for their civil rights. He must be remembered because he had a big heart and willing to sacrifice his life for the greater good. He understood the social problems in the world and addressed it using the non-violence strategy. He was very committed in loving and serving humanity, and thus he should be the role model of the youth
