There are many differences and similarities between Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout history there have been many individuals who have changed the world. Mohandas Gandhi was an Indian lawyer that changed his whole life and the world around when he started fighting against the British for civil rights. He was well known for that. Martin Luther King Jr. was an African-American man who was not well known until he started fighting for African people’s rights. He is most famous for his inspirational speech “ I have a Dream “. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast these historical figures.
Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. were both very important men in history. They changed the world. They were both pacifists; they didn’t believe violence would solve anything. She is fighting for a civil right, the right for everyone to be able to get a good education. She fought in protests so girls could have a good education. Girls are degraded in her hometown, Mingora, Pakistan. Another famous humanitarian like Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. is Tegla Loroupe. She is a 42 year old long-distance track runner. She fights for women’s rights. Angelina Jolie is another important humanitarian. Her job is to help anyone in need of food or shelter. She also talks about humanitarian issues in the world
