He also won the Nobel Piece Prize, which was probably a very big accomplishment for him.

Martin Luther King Jr. helped end segregation in the United States and is a hero to me. There are many other heroes’ who have helped change the lives of others. The man who killed Martin Luther King Junior was named James earl Ray. The reason Ray killed Martin Luther King was because he hated him. Every one of the speeches MLK gave he despised. Ray was going through depression at the time; partly from lack of attention because he was the youngest in a poor family. When Martin Luther King started to stand up for colored people, it only made Ray’s depression worsened.

Martin was originally named Michael after his father but after attending a religious conference in berlin in 34, his dad changed their names to Martin. These people were dragged out of their homes and were forced to work for people who treated them like inhumane creatures.

Have we reached Martin Luther King’s vision? Dr. King was a social activist. He spent most of his life fighting and advocating equality for all people. He really made an impact on society around the 1960’s when things were at their worst. Dr. King’s vision of race relations to have a society with no discrimination and equality, and as a society we have not reached that vision because social profiling.
During the nineteenth century, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has shown us the genuine significance of the word freedom, leaving an indelible mark on America. During the Civil Rights Movement, King preached that nonviolence and civil disobedience are the only way to fight for freedom, effectively driving Blacks in their journey for the "unalienable rights" guaranteed by our Founding Fathers. “We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline,” he urged. Freedom, he believed, is the ability for all mankind to think, speak, and act in the public sphere. Education is the key to thinking, speaking, and acting in a coherent and persuasive manner.
In the past two hundred years there is so much political controversies happening throughout America that put many Americans on edge. Both Martin Luther King and Thoreau struggle with some sort of opinion for justice based on race and social class. Both writers have the same point which focus on justification of defying unjust laws. It appears that they both generally have the same stylistic feelings throughout their letters with the same concept of themes. First, you have Thoreau deals with justice and how the government is doing unfair and injustice things towards the everyday citizens in America.
