Martin Luther King Jr. was the first child to Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. Martin Luther King Jr. became memorable because of his speech. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. He was standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was lead to protest march in sympathy with striking garbage worker of that city, he was assassinated (Griffin). Martin Luther King Jr. led the Civil Rights movement in the United States from the mid 1950’s until his death by assassination in 1968. He was a strong worker for civil rights for members of his race, he became the King of the Civil Rights movement.
