Martin Luther King Jr was an American Minister who fought for his rights. He was a leader of the Civil Rights movement, he was a big part of the movement, he played the key role during the American Civil Rights Movement. He was one of the twentieth century’s best-known advocates for nonviolent social change. Martin grew up on the South at the time when black people didn't have the same rights as white people did. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1929 at a time when segregation laws kept negroes- the name commonly used for black people at the time, from having the same rights as white people. Martin Luther King Jr was a great hero to many people and to his family, Martin was also a Baptist minister and social activist. Martin was a very inspirational man who inspired many people in the world to fight for what they thought was right and for what they believed in. He taught people to stand up for themselves and showed them that they should be heard, and should be treated equally not as slaves and treated differently in any way, and show them that they are equal no matter what color of skin they have. Martin was inspired by Manhattan Gandhi, he was inspired by him because of his non-violent conspiracies. He wanted to be like him and help the world out and end racism. He was impressed by Gandhi's ideas and then began to see that he could adopt these principles in his own life. Later on Martin then graduated at the top of his class at Crozer in 1951 and he won a scholarship to continue his studies. King then recalled that he was concerned with career and with finding a appropriate wife. Martin had then found himself a girlfriend named Coretta Scott, but she all the qualities that mattered to him in choosing a wife. They later on got married and lived in Alabama on June 18,
