Martin Luther King Jr. started off as just a normal everyday person you would pass in the streets and became one of the most important activists in the history of the U.S. Martin Luther King Jr. faced a lot of obstacles on his way to fame. Martin Luther King Jr. also faced many setbacks on his way to gain racial equality, but he persevered. Even though he was found as a fool by others, he kept on fighting for what he believed in. Martin Luther King Jr. became a large target for racial hate, but he rose above all those who hated him and kept on fighting for racial equality while cementing his legacy in the history of the U.S. Martin Luther realized at a young age that someone would have to fight for equality when he was made to stand on the bus to let a white person sit. At the time there was a lot of racial hate directed towards him and others which discouraged him at first. Eventually, after seeing all of the mistreatment that he and others received, he decided to take action by holding rallies and speeches. Even though he was put down by others, he never gave up.
