Olivia Dickey Computers Essay Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very smart person. He wanted every ones rights to be equal no matter what color your skin is. If Martin Luther King did not give his speech this world would be a lot different today. I think if he was not killed at such a young age he would of gave a lot more speeches and made a lot more of a difference on the world.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very inspirational man who overcame his fear to help many others stand up against their own. During this time there were laws that were there to make every man equal black or white, but it ended up dividing the black from the whites completely, which escalated to many blacks being imprisoned, and discriminated against. So this man risked it all to start a non-violent act of peace and equality for everyone. Two of his most famous acts helped tremendously, “Letter from Birmingham Jail” and “I Have a Dream” When Dr. King wrote the “Letter from Birmingham Jail” he was jailed and was trying to get a word out to the other blacks of birmingham trying to get them to protest non-violently. Martin Luther King was a Civil Rights activist. He spoke on behalf of millions of African-Americans around the nation in search of a complete freedom. He spoke on behalf of African-Americans who wanted to sit in the same place as their white peers, speak without getting that glare only a white supremacist could give when in the presence of a minority, have laws that protected them like the laws that protected the majority did. In his marches, and public papers and letters, King spoke of theses injustices. In his Letter from Birmingham Jail, King describes just and unjust laws.
Dr.Martin Luther king Jr was a Baptist minister and social activist. He led the civil rights movement and he used non violent protests to get the freedom that other blacks and himself deserved. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered this speech in a time of great civil unrest and the increasing of racial tensions. He showed many outstanding qualities ,perseverance,organizational ideas,dignity and respect. He was influenced by the idea of refusing to cooperate with an evil and unequal system.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a strong political leader who discussed the segregation of African Americans. MLK also was a minister and Noble Prize winner; he was also a leader in The National Association of Colored People (NAACP). Many African Americans opened up to what he had to say and followed his strategies of a nonviolent act in the Civil Rights Movement. MLK was one of the most important black leaders in his era where not only did he touch the hearts of many blacks but also grew to have many enemies with whites and other leaders who didn't agree in his nonviolent strategies and beliefs.
Martin Luther King Jr. is seen as one of the most influential people in the civil rights movement, He brought forth change and was one of the leaders and forth runner of the movement to end segregation and give all equal rights. Whenever or wherever King went or spoke the reaction was always seen, heard, and powerful, he had established a following that was always ready to listen and was ready to cooperate in whatever needed to be done to help further the movement. When King was asked to help with marches in Birmingham his heart and compassion lead him to go to Birmingham ready to change and bring justice. Just like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Civil Rights Activist. Because of his Christian beliefs he used nonviolent disobedience to advance his civil rights movements. Despite his many arrests, King never gave up on the rights movement. At the age of twelve he suffered from depression and blamed himself of his grandmother’s death and jumped from a two-story window but he survived. Sometimes painful situations, for example, the death of his grandmother, will make you a stronger person in life and it will motivate you to try to change the world for the better.

I've always admired Martin Luther King Jr. Early in life, I learned that he fought for the rights of, not only me but, my friends and family. Life in the America wasn't always like it is now. Dr. King did not mind going to jail because he know he was doing the right thing for his country. That’s when he wrote, “Letter from a Birmingham Jail.” While he was sitting in jail he made some good points telling the people why he in jail. In the letter he stated, “When I was suddenly catapulted into leadership of the bus protest in Montgomery, Alabama a few years ago, I felt we would be supported by the by the white church.”

He was a man that persuaded people worldwide to follow him during the Civil Rights Movement. King was a very passionate, caring man. A great leader that pushed and motivated blacks to achieve equal rights for all.
Martin Luther King Jr. helped us realize that segregation and poverty are wrong. He also helped us realize that we should treat people the same. No matter race, color, or gender. He has impacted our everyday lives with the Civil Rights Act and his “I Have a Dream…” speech. He is an important man with an important history.
Martin Luther King Jr was a very good man he helped people get equal civil rights, he led the march on Washington, and he nonviolently helped get people civil rights. Martin Luther King Jr was an American Baptist minister, a humanitarian, and a leader in the African-American Civil Rights movement. He was a good man. He helped many people. What is freedom? One may ask. A dictionary definition doesn’t do justice to what freedom means to everyone in their everyday life. The first amendment gave us many of our freedoms. Martin Luther King also helped impact what freedom means to me today.
