There were many things that Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein had taught us throughout the semester. Most of it was due to the built up paranoia many had back then when she wrote it. They were concerned over the many scientific experiments attempting to bring back the dead. Shelly at the time played into the fears with her novel serving as a sort of cautionary tale of what happens when science goes too far. This simple concept is still relevant today with it being applied to modern science. That brought us to question the ethics of the experiments going on today with nuclear power, genetics, and Artificial Intelligence in regards to the warning brought by Frankenstein.
