In the novel “Frankenstein” adapted by Mary Shell, originally written by Gris Grimly, Victor creates a monster out of old body parts. Soon he will regret that decision when the creature wreaks havoc on all parts of his life. The monster will cause everyone he loves to turn on him or hate him. The “monster” from “Frankenstein” is a human. There are many reasons why the creature is a human, but the first reason that the creature in “Frankenstein” is a human is because he is made completely out of human body parts, Victor robbed from graves of the deceased in order to get the parts to create him. Victor dug up human remains to create the creature, soon after victor starts to create the creature, he is made completely out of human body parts, which means he is a human creature. The next reason the creature Victor created is a human is the fact that he understands the complex human language and emotional systems. No other animals or creatures besides humans understand our complex system of language and emotions. If the creature can understand, surely he must be considered a human. On page 82, Victor’s creation starts to talk in perfect English, which even included spoken emotions. “Have I not suffered enough?” If the creature didn't understand emotions, how would he be able to convey the emotions in which he was feeling so vividly in the story that follows? Some people may say that the creature is a monster because he has killed people, in fact he has killed many people. But this is not proper reasoning for this argument, unless you are going to call all of the people locked up in prison monsters, too. Humans have murdered many other people of their kind, but
