Mary Wollstonecraft was a writer around the time of enlightenment and the French Revolution. Mary Wollstonecraft’s, “A Vindication of the Rights of Women”, is a treatise on overcoming the ways in which women in her time were oppressed and denied their potential in society. Wollstonecraft was considered to be one of the first feminists she was outspoken on how she felt on this matter. This is still a relevant issue to this day.
