This living hell does not stop here. The slave women were used as sexual beings for twisted masters with warped mindsets. The black women were slaves beyond their will. These women would also have to endure one level deeper of physiological damage, being raped by their masters if they resisted, they were punished. The light that is shed on the truth that is slavery is heart breaking but that sort of enlightenment and empathy is exactly what the public needs to realize so that this sort of historical travesty never happens again. A story of a young slave girl that was on the plantation with him while he was under the ownership of Master Epps, the young girl's name was Patsey, Master Epps was quite drawn, sexually, to the young Patsey. Master Epp's wife was aware of the lust in her husband’s eyes and despised Patsey for it. Mistress Epps punished Patsey in cruel ways such as depriving her from soap which is essential for the hygiene of any human, especially those that work in a field all day performing manual labor. Patsey went to a neighbor friend that supplied her with soap so she could clean herself.
