Master’s Degree After high school, majority of the people do not end their education with a high school diploma, but instead seek for more education by going to college. By going to college, it states that one is trying to have a better future. Within the first four years of college, one is able to receive a Bachelor’s Degree, but one can still strive for more education. The next degree one can receive is a Master’s Degree with an additional two years after earning the Bachelor’s Degree. In any profession, receiving a Master’s Degree has more advantages and values to it. Especially in the medical field, nurses that graduate with a Master Degree are looking at more knowledge for better patient care, leadership skills and more confidence in their practices. Students must not quit too soon on their education, but to push for a more advanced education. …show more content…

“In the 1950s and 1960s, nurses were able to work with an Associate’s Degree to fix the nursing storage, but most hospitals now are only accepting nurses with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing (BSN) or higher degree in order to work”(Boyd, 2010).
