Most students seeking a secondary education after high school and choosing what they are going to do, it is a challenging phase to go through, especially being eighteen years old. In high school, people are barely given the freedom to go to school and come back without guidance. At times, people seeking secondary education are strung along by "counselors" who make it seem like the next four years of our lives will be "the greatest years of our lives." This isn't an argumentative essay about how students are deprived and stripped of their independence. Nor is it a persuasive essay about the challenges adolescents face going through this transition of "finding themselves." What this is, is a candid story about Matt T. Johnson was born in Oregon, WA and lived there until he was four. Due to his father's unexpected and utter dismissal from the family, he spent the rest of his childhood and adolescents growing up in Idaho. He was always fascinated by the wonders of his surroundings. At times during their teenage years, his brother would lead long mountain bike adventures to Lucky Peak. According to the AllTrails website, "Lucky Peak Loop is a 13.3-mile loop trail located near Boise, ID. The trail is rated as difficult and primarily used for mountain biking."(). Brad, was more normal, well at least to the general public. Bradley Johnson is two years older than his brother and experienced the same life as did Matt, but their paths took very different roads. Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington was what Brad called home. After four years there, he achieved his B.S. in Teaching Education with an emphasis on science. This is "four-year" plan is what most adolescents like myself would like to achieve, but as Mike Tyson famously states, "Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth." At this point in Matt's life, he felt that no one was in his corner and due to his circumstances, no one knew what he was going,
