What is the best way to escape poverty?
Poverty is a complex challenge which requires a multifaceted system that requires various different approaches to fighting it from many different perspectives. By providing access to high quality education, skills, and building healthy relationships and connections between people, we enable a more fair approach to allow others and ourselves to break from the chains of poverty. In this argument I will bring up various proven ways of giving people and creating opportunities to fight poverty. Investing in education and job opportunities while fostering relationships and building a sense of community is the most effective way to combat poverty.

This alleviation of their economic and social suffering can be a changing point in their character and a huge reason in their own economic improvement. Systemic classism makes it hard for many low income families to improve their situation, which is why life is twice as hard for the kids in these families to be emotionally or financially taken care of. In the article “The power of the dinner table” by David Brooks, the argument for relationships being the turning point in many people's lives is presented. For instance on the first page a kid goes there as “The Warmest place I can ever imagine” which on the surface already seems to show signs of being a turning point for some people's mental and emotional wellbeing if it acts almost like a sanctuary. Another argument for this can be found on the second page where two kids there are described to “Practice friendship as if it was the highest art form.” Anyone who changes from being troubles to honoring their friendships is a testament for improvement made from the relationships made there. Systemic racism and classism create barriers of education and opportunities, which in turn cause generational poverty which leads to emotional hardships. Generational poverty cannot be easily overcome with individual-focused initiatives. Although it is true that systemic racism and classism are major contributors towards impoverishment; Education, job programs and community and relationship building initiatives can have a huge impact on the lives of families and individuals. These programs can provide a path for an upward movement for people that breaks the cycle of poverty, this includes anyone of any race. By investing in more education and job programs for the impoverished, and building up relationships and programs, we can create a more equitable society in which we give more people more
