Interests groups are an important mechanism through which citizens make their ideas needs and view known to elected officials. Interest group work to gain and retain benefits for their members through advocacy, public campaigns and even by lobbying government to make change in public policy. There are a wide variety of interest groups representing a variety of people, these include Business, Economic, Labor, Professional, Agricultural, Environmental, Consumer, Ideological, Public, Single and Governmental. Interest groups find ways to educate the public, government officials, their own members and potential interest group members. They can educate people by going to schools and putting on plays for students or informational speeches. Interest
