The problem in American politics I consider most significant is how Democratic and Republicans cannot agree upon anything and American government is that it is not as democratic as it should be. Large special interest groups have too much power in our political system and the working public has too little. The American government is now involved in responding to special interests and not the working public interest. Many Americans are frustrated and disappointed with our political system nowadays.
