The media and technology seems to evolve every day and that means more sex and violence on almost every avenue of the media. Understanding how to deal with this type of media can be difficult and leaning the effects on our society can be even harder. This essay will be exploring the developments, milestones, and applications representing changes in media portrayal of sex and violence, negative effects of sex and violence on children and adults have increased in media technology. Lastly what can be changed to make the problem of the media portraying sex and violence better and has changes been made to society due to the media, technology, sex and or violence.

Change is not always good all around, with the good will come some bad in any change in life (voluntary or non-voluntary). Changes have been for the good and the bad. The positive change is that we are more enlightened about what is going on around the world. I know personally I care more about what is going on in the world in other country and the environment then I did before I liked up to the internet/media. Learning from the media and new technology is the best gain from this situation. On the other hand the media is teaching children, teenagers, and adult’s different versions of sex and violence. I do understand there is no way to avoid sex and violence when it comes to the media. However it seems that the networks and cable networks keep pushing the envelope and soon enough leaving things to the imagination will be gone all together. Our communication is also not the same as it used to be. We no longer want to talk or communicate in public we text and email more then we call or have lunch together to catch up on life.
