The scene The Melville Boys, performed by Beth and Josh was about a woman named Mary, played by Beth, who had just arrived the day before being told that the Lee, played by Josh, was dying, and even though they had just met Mary took that a lot more harder than I expected it to. She flips out and is in tears and Lee is confused by she even cares. They go on to tell each other their stories. Beth Played a very emotional, intense character. She used the strong characteristics given to her in a very interesting way by using her volume and her detail to each word she spoke and even when she didn’t speak at all like when she was eating the cake and listening to what Lee was saying and you could tell she was in character because you could see her …show more content…

It didn’t feel like she stopped to remember a line it looked like she was thinking as if she was the character. I forgot that they were playing a character it felt like we were watching a piece of someone's life shown live. Josh’s character was a very “wanna be” kind of guy. Lee wanted to be the type of guy who was laid back and didn’t care about much, but that’s not how he was. Lee wanted no attention and wanted to keep to himself and have people not worry about him. He was dying and didn’t know how to handle it. Josh Pulled all of that off and more by using his voice in a very timid way and using his facial expressions by showing almost fear of how his life is going to change. Josh didn’t have much physical movement but when he just stood there you could tell her was trying to show that Lee was tense and nervous and didn’t know what to say at times like when Mary started crying he got up and wasn’t too sure on how to take that in that a girl he doesn’t even know was crying cause he was dying.Lee was very simple but every complicate in a completely different way.
