The main purpose of this writing is to critically review the famous book of John Gray, “Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus.” At first I will briefly describe the content of the book before moving to critical analysis of the book. I will bring up some evidence to support the arguments in the book and some evidence which proves that some events which explained are not true. This review will be concluded with an over view of the review expressing my opinion about the book. John Gray is a famous American relationship counselor who was born in Texas in 1951. He has been specialized in the area of relationships which involves helping men and women to learn each other better by accepting and being considerate towards differences in their lives. He has published numerous articles, books and have conducted several seminars, workshops and also have given public lectures on relationship related matters. He also worked as a lecturer. According to HarperCollins Gray’s bestselling book was Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus was published in 1992. More than seven million copy of the book was sold all over the globe and $18 million was made as revenue from the book. The author started the book by giving example from Mars and Venus. His argument is, like Mars and Venus, men and women are different. According to him to have a better relationship we need to accept the truth that men and woman have differences.
